Surf with us in salvador!
FULFIL YOUR DREAM aND DISCOVER CENTRAL AMERICA!
EVERYONE CAN SURF - REALLY:)
WHO WILL TEACH YOU TO SURF?
BAMBA DIAZ
The main instructor is a great surfer and patient tutor Bamba (full name José Antonio Diaz Hernandez... but all you simply need to remember is just Bamba:) Get to know him right now!
You can speak English or Spanish to Bamba. We'll translate for those who don't speak either of these languages. You'll also get a basic dictionary of "Surf Terms" (CZ - EN - ES).
Bamba has been surfing for more than 23 years. He simply grew up on a surfboard in El Tunco. Bamba has had an extraordinary professional surfing career: he was ranked on the national level in 2009 and 2010.
He represented El Salvador in international competitions (e.g. the World Cup in Chile 2008). He has surfed all around the world — Canada, USA, Central America, Europe and Australia.
Since 2004 he has been teaching surfing actively, both to tourists and locals.
He is certified as a Referee for international competitions (Level 1).
Others in the team of instructors are also successful sportsmen and representatives of El Salvador. But, that's no problem — they also have patience with beginners. (Tested for you on our own skin.:)
how will you learn to surf?
How much time will instructors spend with me?
-
lessons are held 5 days a week, so you enjoy 10 days with our instructors
-
you have 2 hours a day with the instructors
-
every 4 days (that is 3x during your stay) the instructor will analyse and discuss your progress and methods for improvement, with the aid of video coaching. We film you and, in the evenings, discuss in detail what to focus on subsequently
-
however, depending on your energy levels, you can practise every day for as long as you like (the surfboard is available to you for your entire stay)
Are you a beginner? No problem!
-
instructors have experience with hundreds of people who want to start from scratch
-
first you practise the technique of standing up on dry land
-
then you usually start somewhere close to the shore
-
only later do you paddle to the pointbreak (where the waves break)
-
instructors are present with you there too. At first, they help you to find the good waves, help you with timing and teach you how to stand up
-
gradually you will try individual steps alone
-
it is definitely a myth that as a "landlubber" you have no chance of learning to surf. And age is also no barrier!
What will I surf on?
-
as a beginner you start on "longboards" that are stable
-
intermediate and advanced surfers can also borrow shorter surfboards
How far away is the beach and what is it like?
-
the beach is a 5-minute walk from the accommodation facility — one of the advantages of our location is that you do not have to pay for transport to the surfing spot
-
beaches are clean, safe, slightly sloping
-
during our autumn and winter, the sand is black here, during summer there are more pebbles on the beach (see the photo taken in May)
